my christmas tree animation - Part 2

We are learning how to make an Christmas animation. Using an google image and modifying it to make it more interesting. I found it tricky to move all the bows and changing the colors of the tree and the star. Next time I would like to do a part 3 because I am enjoying doing gifs.

 Principle for a week.

If I were boss for a week, I'd make the park more better and have a cafeteria for staffs and teachers and let the have there own cafeteria. I will have guards around the school to protect the kids, have lots of sports gear so the children don't to fight over the gear. A cooler room so the kids can chill out, and have three different types of pools, 1 for the little kids ,2 for the year 6 and 5's, 3 for the year 8 and 7's. And I'll get a theater for the kids to chill out, I'll get a gym for the children to work  and get strong and healthy. I'll get a rest room and get a big fun park, get a water park, I'll get a slushy machine for when ever its hot. And to have more time of school, 9.00 till 4.30.

History of Kiwiana

We are researching about kiwiana. I found it hard to research some of the objects in kiwiana. Next time I would like to do a poster about kiwiana because I like to do creations about celebrations. I really enjoyed doing this because I learnt a lot by researching about kiwiana.

christmas santa animation - part 1

We are learning about making a png animation. I found it tricky to get the poly-lines to be straight but I couldn't. Next time I would like to do this again on a different image. I really liked doing this because it kind of looks like an gif off google.

Omana Beach- Fun in the Sun

Last week we went to Omana beach. I found it hard to stay in my teachers eye sight because the waves keep on over taking me. Next time I would not like to go back because I go sick and cold in the water and it was really hot in the bus when we were driving back to school.

About the holidays - Writing

We are learning how to do a drawing about the holiday and the weather of how cold it was and hot it was.  I found it hard because we did it way after the holidays and it was hard to remember. Next time I would like to do another drawing about whats happening to the coming holidays and do it a bit after but it close to the holidays so I can make it more interesting.

Term 3 reflection

Term 3 reflection

 What I have enjoyed at school this term is Kapa Haka because I expect my actions and singing to be perfect. I did really well at Cross Country. I think my maths could have been better this term because my basic facts was higher than before. One thing I want to change about being in Tui Hub is my basic facts because everyone usually exhausted of running around at lunchtime and everyone doesn't feel like working. 

Learning about maths

We are learning about money and decimals with dollar signs. I found it easy because I just had to copy it from my math book. Next time I would like to do this again because it was easy and I like working on maths and it was easy to do work on.

My story about the Luge - The Luge

" Get up lazy bones!" said my uncle Adam

"Don't you remember what day it is today", said my Aunty Rose

" Yes we do!" said my brother  Declan happily! 

I didn't really know what the Luge was, so I guess I just had to roll with it.

After we all got ready and had breakfast we all went out to the car and went off to the car and drove off to the Luge. Once we got to Hamilton we went to have lunch. Then went back to the car and got going. We only had an half of hour to get to the Luge. I wondered if it will be fun or boring. It looked really fun on the website my uncle showed me and my brother Declan then. My uncle said that we were going to stop to get some drinks. We stayed in the market for long cause we got more things than drinks. We were so close to the Luge that we only had 15 minutes left. Then we finally got to the Luge.

We saw the Luge when we first got to Rotorua. So we parked in the parking lot and went in.  When we payed for the turns we had to wait in line to get on to the skype. It was so scary going up because we were so far up. After we had to get a helmet and get on to our carts. When we got on we had to practice for a bit then go!. It was so fun going down because it was going fast. We got to the end and then we had 2 more turns to go! WOOHOO!.

We are learning how to write a story about the holidays. I found it hard because I couldn't remember what really happened cause I forgot.

Next time I will remember to put more sound words to make it more interesting.

       

 

Maui snares the sun-Maori Language Week

We are celebrating about Maori Language Week. I did a google slide about a animated story. I found it hard to move the sun into place because I forgot about where I put my sun but I tried. Next time I would like to make it better and a bit more interesting for me and for the viewers and everyone too.

Maori Language Week - Part 1

We are learning about Maori Language Week. I learnt to create a poster about Maori Language Week. found it tricky because I haven't heard of Canvas at all. Next time I would like to do this again because Maori is my first culture and I love to create things with flowers and other DIY things. I enjoyed doing this because creating things is my favorite  hobby and its fun to do it.

My favorite space in my new class- Tui Hub

We are learning about finding our favorite space in our new hub. I found it easy to find my favorite space in my new class. Next time I would like to find out new spaces in my new class.

Cook Island language week

We are learning to greet in Cook Island language and write facts and other thing in Cook Island. I found it tricky because we had to research some of the numbers in Cook Island language. Next time I would like to do this again because I want to get use to doing this and get use to Cook Island language week.

Whetu and Nick Show

We are learning about the show we are going to and guessing what's happening. I found it tricky to guess what was happening about the show. Next time I would like to do this again because I want to see if I'm right or wrong. I'm really looking forward to going to the show because I really want to see the characters in real life.

Term two reflection

         This term we got warm and comfy pyjamas from the Middlemore foundation.

 

This term I really enjoyed having new pyjamas from middle more foundation because we got to try them on and they were nice and comfy.  Next time I would like to get different patterned pyjamas so they are different to my brothers. 

Tui explanation

A Tui is a bird

 Tuis like to eat all kinds  of fruit, insects, seeds. They love nectar from flowers like the flax and kowhai flowers.

Tuis have bluey green feathers on its body. Tuis have white and fluffy balls on its neck.

Tuis have beaks to help eat food and to peck at the trees. Tuis have dark tails to help know where its going.

Tuis are found through much of NZ, particularly the North island, the west coast of south island, Stewart island/Rakiura and on the Chatham island, an endangered sub species particular to these island exist. Tuis are endemic to New Zealand.

Tuis are notoriously aggressive, and will defend a flowering or fruiting tree, or a small part of a large tree,from another tui or another bird species.

They vigorously chase other birds away from their feeding area with loud whirring wings. 

Code Cracking

We are learning how to write an application about coding.
 I learnt that coding is numbers and letters.
 I found it tricky because everyone was talking and it was hard to concentrate,
Next time I would like to do code cracking again sometime. 
When we had to find our buddies it was easy because wrote an message in codes but only me and my  buddy was allowed to know the message.

Samoan Language Week

We are learning how to speak to others in Samoan Language week. I found it easy because I just needed to add images and feelings with speeches. Next time I would like to do this again so I can talk to my friends in the language.

One Day

We are learning  about Maori Legends. I found it hard to describe it to the camera because I keep on laughing. Next time I would like to do it again so I can get use to saying things to a camera.

It was hard because one of my friends were next to me and she was laughing when I was saying the part I liked.

pink shirt day Anti-Bullying

We are learning how to not be a bully. I found it easy not to be mean to anyone even do were not suppose too. Next time I would like to do this again so we all don't bully.

3D and 2D shapes

we are learning how to disscibe the difference of shapes. I found it hard to find some of the shapes.
Next time I would like to do this again so I remember the disciption I wrote.

Anti - Bullying

We are learning how to stop bullies and not being a bully. I found it tricky because the images were hard to find even the pink shirt. Next time I would like to do this again so I can remember what bullying is about. We support pink shirt day Friday 17th May, 2019.

Counties Manukau Bikes

We are learning how to be safe with bikes and we were learning how to ride bikes. I found it tricky to ride through the zigzags and take our hands off the handle bars. Next time I would like to do this again because we got to play with the bikes too. I enjoyed riding the bikes because we played games and had races.

We are learning what its like being a soldier. I learnt how soldiers get respected. I found it tricky to do the soldier tryouts and try not to laugh when Mrs Mundy was growling us to get attention. Next time I would like to do this again so I know how its like being a soldier. 

Smart Password

we are learning how to do smart passwords by special characters. I found it easy and tricky we had to come up with our own sentence. Next time I would like to do this again so I can remember my sentences. I never share my passwords because someone will hack into your account and look through your private stuff.

Anzac Poem

WALHT make a poem about ANZAC. I learnt how to dye about ANZAC and how to make a poem about ANZAC too. I found it hard to make the dye straight. Next time I would like to do this again so I know how to do make dye straight and I will focus on it too.

We are learning how to do sentence starters. I found it easy because we just had to copy it out of our book. Next time I would like to do this again because it was easy

Glenbrook railway trip

We are learning about when we went to Glenbrook Railway. I found it tricky because we had to keep our hands in the windows and to stand the smell outside it smelt like rotten cheese because there an factory on the side of the train. Next time I want to go back to Glenbrook railway because it was fun
and cool seeing the other trains like Thomas the Tank Engine.

We are learning how to make good decisions. I found it hard to choose a background. Next time I would like to do this again so I can remember my WITS.

Toku pepeha

We are learning how to make our own Mihimihi/Toku pepeha. I found it hard to find images to make it my mum and dad. Next time I should take a photo of my mum and get a old photo of my dad.

smart footprint

We are learning how to what to put on the web. I found it easy because I have done this last year with my class.  I  like to do this over again so I remember what to post on the web. 

Making our stories interesting

We are learning how to make our stories more interesting.
I found it tricky because the images were hard to find. Next time I would like to do this but put more images on to it. I like these interesting story starters because it makes it more interesting.

Looking over the edge ocean, I saw this really scary dark cave.
I ask my mum if I can see what is in there, But mum said “No you can’t you might get lost in there".
Mum said "stop that stomping now"!.I started to mimic her.I was stomping to the car. Then suddenly I heard this sound coming from the hills. It felt like an earthquake. And it does sound like an huge thing, I was getting scared. But I was still looking up on the hill. And it was an volcano explosion!.It told mum “to hurry up and get in to the car before it catches up to us”. She left everything on the sand, she got in the car and started the car and started to drive off.the lava almost hit us. Mum went fast as I almost hit myself on the passenger seat. And then we were close to home. Mum said “ were home now. I said to mum “ can we never go to that beach ever again.

what active listeners do?

We learning how to learn about what active listeners do?. I found it easy because I knew how to do some of it. Next time I would like to do this again because know I know what good active listeners do and now mostly the whole class knows what to do.

Resolving conflict.

We are learning how to make good decisions and resolve how people feel. I found it easy because I was not as crowded everyone else was. Next time I would like to do this again because I like to know what other people.

ASB Polyfest

We are learning cultures and we went polyfest. We were allowed to get a tamoko on our faces like our teacher here. I am looking forward to going again next year, I will be looking for the nga tamoko.

Practicing cricket skills.

We are learning how to practice cricket skills. I found it hard to shoot the balls to the wickets down the day. Next time I would like to do this again but a different type of sport.

looking after our Chromebooks

We are learning how to take care of our Chromebooks. I found it hard  because of the images and I tried to find some gifs but they were silly. Next time I would like to do this again but do something different and try find some gifs that are good.

WAITANGI graphing

WALHT explain the information on a Waitangi graph.I found it hard and easy because I had to find a perfect graph Next time I would like to do this again but do a different celebration.no one wanted to interview James Busby,Most people wanted to go back and interview a Maori Chief. I wonder what they will ask.The most popular temperature prediction is 13&15 degrees. 6 people thought the temperature for 2019 Waitangi day world would look like.

Where is Waitangi?

WALHT find places on our maps. We did a quiz on Waitangi and found not many people knew
where it was. I learnt how to make my own map with place I added. I found it tricky because importing information from sheets. next time I would like to do this again but then do a different one.

WHAT IS BULLYING

We have been talking talking about bullying and what it looks like. This is what I think. I found it hard because the images were not really creative. Next time I would like to try this again because I would like everyone to be kind and so they can respect everyone too. I hope we would not have people in our hub bullying others.

E1 hobbie graph

my fravorite hobbie is playing on the PS4 because I like watching YouTube and try my best to play Fortnite. We are learning how to do graphing about hobbies. I found it kind of hard because we had to go around the class to know everybody's hobbies. next time I would like to do this again but not do it a bit hard because it took me a lot of time to do it.
